Travel information
UHI Moray has three campuses all based in the historic cathedral city of Elgin. Depending on where you are travelling from, there are a range of transport options.

In support of sustainability, you are encouraged wherever possible to use more active methods in travel to and from our campuses. This ideally would be by either walking, or cycling. A number of secure cycle lockers are available (on payment of a refundable £10 deposit) per academic year and a covered canopy is available at our Moray Street campus.
By Car

Our campuses are located in central Elgin just of the A96 truck road between Inverness and Aberdeen.
Parking on campus
We have limited parking at our Moray Street and Linkwood Technology Centre campuses.
We operate a permit display system and request that all users of our campuses park their vehicles within the designated areas. Students can obtain a permit from Student Services.
For students based at the Biblical Gardens there is limited on street parking.
Public Transport

We encourage the use of public transport to get to and from our campuses.
By Bus
As a main travel route from Inverness to Aberdeen and a local transport hub Elgin Bus Station is a:
- 5-minute walk from our Moray Street Campus
- 10-minute walk from the Biblical Garden
- 20-minute walk from our Linkwood Technology Centre
All young people and children aged 5-21 can apply for a card to access the Young Persons’ (Under 22s) Free Bus Travel Scheme.
There are also a number of local bus routes through Stagecoach. Stagecoach Bluebird offer the Bluebird Unirider, a discount scheme specifically for students in the north east geographic area. Student single, single, day, week and monthly tickets are also available at the Stagecoach Website.
By Rail
With a regular train service connecting you to Inverness and Aberdeen, Elgin Railway station is:
- a two-minute walk from our Moray Street Campus
- a 16-minute walk from our Biblical Garden and Linkwood Technology Centre Campuses.

By air
- 40 minutes from Inverness airport, which is well served with daily flights to and from London, Amsterdam, Bristol, Dublin and beyond
- 80 minutes from Aberdeen International Airport offering worldwide connections.
