What is special about this course?
Having an understanding of psychology can be beneficial in a range of occupations with careers in the psychological field including Educational Psychology, Forensic Psychology and Occupational Psychology. It is also beneficial to anyone looking for employment in the public sector such as NHS, local government, and education.
This course aims to provide both an overview of the discipline and the opportunity to study a selection of topics in depth including:
- Exploration of the Research process
- Where phobias come from
- How the brain remembers information
- What happens in our brains when we sleep
- Why we conform to social rules

Entry requirements
- National 4 in English.
- National 4 Numeracy or Application of Maths is also required due to the mathematical component to this course.

How will I study my course?
- Online
This course is delivered online using our Virtual Learning Environment and will consist of one 3-hour tutorial each week. Once each month students will also be required to attend campus for a face-to-face evening tutorial.
How long will my course last?
1 Year3 hours online per week in the evening with once monthly face-to-face tutorials.
Course cost: £352 (subject to change).
