REHIS Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate

What is special about this course?

This course provides in-depth knowledge of safe and hygienic methods of handling and storing food. It is particularly relevant to food handlers in a supervisory position.

This course will equip you with a nationally recognised Intermediate Food Hygiene qualification.

The course content is set by REHIS (The Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland) and the course ends with a 2 hour written examination which is marked by REHIS.

Entry requirements

REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent.

  • Presentation by a representative of the Highland Council

How will I study my course?

This course is delivered face-to-face on campus.

How long will my course last?

The course is designed to run in 2 hour blocks and can be delivered in any suitable combination to make up a total of 24 hours e.g. 12 x 2 hours, 4 x 6 hours, etc.
