Alexander Graham Bell Architects win IAA award
JM Architects designers of the Alexander Graham Bell Centre for Digital Health have won best overall project for the 2014 IAA awards for their design.
Peter McIlhenny, President of the IAA presented Rod Duncan from JM Architects with their award in the AGBC, joined by Frank Hughes, Principal of Moray College UHI and Bill Duncan, Moray College UHI.project sponsor.
The £6.5 million Alexander Graham Bell Centre for Digital Health was officially opened by HRH The Princess Royal in June 2014 and is a centre for excellence in Digital Health and Life Science for the North of Scotland and beyond providing facilities for, and expertise in life science research, and education.
The building will be permanently occupied by NHS Grampian and Moray College UHI with 5 research and commercialisation rooms available for lease by companies looking to establish themselves in the field of digital health or life science or companies looking for opportunities for business growth.
The centre also offers a range of quality facilities for conferences and events including:
A spectacular spacious reception area, at 3 levels which can be used for smaller events and exhibitions.
An exceptional high quality, light and spacious modern conference room, which can accommodate up to 190 delegates. Included in the cost for hiring the conference room is state of the art AV equipment offering large television screens linked to the main presentations throughout the space to ensure easy and comfortable viewing, video conferencing and access to the internet. Smaller rooms for workshops and smaller meetings can also be provided.
Access to a light and spacious café area for informal meetings and refreshments
A lecture theatre with full AV requirement and video conferencing which can accommodate up to 36 delegates. The seating in the lecture theatre can be removed to create an additional versatile space.
A range of classrooms and video conferencing facilities on the first floor.
Catering packages from the Hospitality and Tourism Academy at Moray College can also be included as part of your overall event package.
