Moray art students selected for Italian opportunity
Moray School of Art students have been selected to take part in the 2015 Scotland + Venice learning programme; this initiative provides young art students and recent graduates with opportunities to develop their skills and make contacts at La Biennale di Venezia - which is the largest art exhibition in the world.
Our Students Julija Astasonoka, who is originally from Latvia but now lives in Elgin, Hester Grant from Inverness and Amanda Lightbody from Stonehaven, are studying for a BA (Hons) in fine art with the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI).
Our students have been given the opportunity to spend a month at the Venice event between May and September and are part of a wider team of 28 Scotland-based students and graduates who are overseeing the daily set up of an exhibition by the Scottish artist, Graham Fagen, and providing visitors with information about Graham and his work. This is the first time the Scotland + Venice learning programme has hosted UHI students.
