Free event for students: REAP Food Waste Challenge
By making small shifts in how you shop, prepare, and store food, you can save time and money and stop food from going to waste!
The Food Waste Challenge is a FREE 3-part course created by REAP which will help you figure out how much food is really going to waste in your home and what you can do to waste less.
Starting on Tuesday 4th February 2020 at 4.30pm at Moray College UHI, this course will help you reduce your carbon footprint.
Part 1 is held on Tuesday 4th February and lasts for an hour (4.30pm-5.30pm). In that hour we will explain what all the course involves and to issue you with your information pack.
Part 2 is held on Tuesday 11th February and lasts for two hours (4.30pm-6.30pm). In that two hours you will prepare and cook some delicious, seasonal and locally produced foods. Once the dishes are cooked you will get a chance to sample them and also learn more about how you can cut down your food waste.
Part 3 is held on Tuesday 18th February and lasts for two hours (4.30pm-6.30pm). In that two hours you will prepare and cook some delicious, seasonal and locally produced foods. Once the dishes are cooked you will get a chance to sample them and exchange with others in the group your experience of the challenge, share tips and discuss how you have cut down on your food waste.
