Fees and funding
An education is a big investment, but one that will pay off in the future.
Our Student Services team can support you through all aspects of student funding.
The best place to start is the Student Information Scotland website which has comprehensive information on funding and can give information specific to your personal circumstances. The budget and funding calculators break down what money you've got coming in, going out and what funding you could receive.
Course fees
Course fees - or tuition fees - are charged by universities and colleges to cover key elements of your course and academic life. In most cases, full-time students will not have to pay fees as long as you meet the Scottish residency criteria. The amount of money you may have to pay for your course depends on a number of factors. These include where you come from, where you live and which course you want to study.
Funding
You may be eligible for loans, grants and bursaries to help you with your living expenses. You should apply for your funding as soon as you can.
