Dr Malcolm Clark
I am lecturer and programme leader for BSc Computing & Interactive Media. I’m also the principal investigator for many exciting research projects and act as the Research Initiator where I expand and link current research projects with multi-disciplinary researchers across the UHI and other academic institutes.
I have experience in both software development solutions, human computer interaction, 3D Modelling and experimental research on human information use, by using think aloud protocols, questionnaires and eyetracking.
About Me: I have a PhD in cognitive science, where I studied information seeking & intertextuality (genre), in particular using mixed methods to look at how people perceive relevant information to solve search tasks. I also have peer reviewed published outputs and interests in Artificial Intelligence, in particular, Machine Learning, automated domain knowledge.
Outside of work I provide research into helping people communicate more effectively by using psychometrics to measure empathy in their emails with Turalt (Toronto: Canada).
