As the Learning Assistant for the Integrative Healthcare department, I help and assist will all aspects of our students learning such as the materials you will use on your course, right through to assisting you with your practical learning within the treatment clinics. I completed my HND Complementary Therapies at UHI Moray, and gained my degree in Complementary Healthcare at Edinburgh Napier University (at the time the degree wasn’t available at UHI Moray yet). I have worked around the world in various settings, including 5* spa’s, holistic retreats including in Italy and Costa Rica. After working abroad, I returned home to sunny Scotland where I was working as a Spa Manager and most recently have been working self-employed with my own therapy business alongside my role as a Learning Assistant. I love being the Learning Assistant for Integrative Healthcare as I get to help support the students learning. It is so lovely seeing the students flourish and grow as they develop their skills, and to see the students discovering for themselves the many benefits of complementary therapies.
About me: Outside of work I am kept pretty busy as a mum to my little boy but when I’m not chasing after him, I do enjoy cooking, and I will usually be baking some sort of cake or pastry. I love spending time at the beach too, and I live close to the Speyside Way so we enjoy family walks there. And of course, I enjoy having a massage treatment too!
