Moray College Employability Fund good news story

Lovely success story which is worth sharing.

Lindsay Wu was a participant on the Worth a Chance 2 week course in May. Referred by Elgin jobcentre Lindsay was struggling to find work and lacking in confidence. She completed the 2 week course with Liz Robertson who realised that Lindsay would benefit greatly from doing a work placement. Through the close links forged with NHS Grampian Lindsay started on placement through the Employability Fund and has worked on placement at Spynie Hospital since May. Lindsay has now started at College on Steps to Work Care.

Quote from Lindsay sums it up: “The overall experience between Moray College and NHS Grampian has helped me so much. I started out feeling unsure because I had no confidence in myself but now I feel a lot more confident in what I can achieve. I’ve enrolled for a course at Moray College and I would never have thought I’d be able to do something like that. I can’t wait to get started.”
