College Champion - Volunteer Opportunity 3-5 hours per week

Skills Development Scotland, Young Scot, Moray College UHI & the University of the Highlands and Islands' Careers and Employability Centre have entered into an exciting new partnership. The partnership will promote employability and provide information arounf health, budgeting and relationships. We are looking for volunteer college champions to help drive this project forward.

These positions will be available to any current, fully enrolled students at Moray College UHI.

Successful applicants will be the student face of Young Scot and My World of Work on campus as well as promoting college and university events and initiatives. Volunteer champions will work closely with Moray College UHI Student Services, the University of the Highlands and Islands’ Careers and Employability Centre, Young Scot and SDS staff to identify opportunities to engage young people. They will promote key campaigns; will help organise events and hold mini competitions relating to employability and will be expected to give short presentations. All students who successfully complete the project will receive a new Apple iPad.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate a passion for PR, events or marketing and have a genuine interest in helping inform the student population on topics relating to health, life and work.
