Moray College UHI Plumbing Apprentice Callum Robertson is a Winner!
Moray College UHI Plumbing Apprentice Callum Robertson has won the Bronze medal against 9 other competitors in the final of the 2014 Skillshow competition which was held in Birmingham between 12th - 15th November.
Callum is a 3rd year apprentice with Duntser Biomass Heating, Elgin and is originally from Skye. He started his career in Glasgow where he studied football sports coaching for 2 years before deciding to change career. He had always been keen to do an apprenticeship and was successful in obtaining a trainee plumbing apprenticeship in 2011 and moved to Elgin.
Callum loves his job which is focused predominately on renewables including heating systems and wood fuel boilers and he is keen to continue excelling in his training.
He attributed much of his success both in the regional competition where he won FIRST in the copper exercise, FIRST in the lead work exercise and FIRST as the overall competition winner and bronze in the National Competition to the facilities at the Technology Centre at Linkwood and his lecturers.
