Moray College UHI has teamed up with NHS Grampian, UHI, Robert Gordon University and Aberdeen University in the development of 3 taster days to showcase what is on offer to school pupils within the local area and across Grampian. This year’s initiative is the largest and most ambitious with 1000 pupils from S3 across all Moray Schools taking part.

The taster days take place on Wednesday 23rd January - Friday 25th January and will be split over 2 sites.

For pupils interested in the full Moray College UHI programme then Moray College has geared itself up to offer a vast range of fun practical activities including: Pizza Making for pupils interested in Hospitality, enduring the Dragons Den for Business students and planting Hanging Baskets for Horticulture students with many more activities to choose from. It is hoped that by taking part then pupils will gain a greater insight into what’s actually included in these careers and can therefore make better choices.

For pupils interested in all things medical then it is a visit to Dr Gray’s hospital where the partners - Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen University and NHS Grampian will be undertaking a range of activities and presentations covering many disciplines including Nursing, Radiology, Physio and what is involved in training to be a GP.

Jackie Andrews, Associate Director from Moray College UHI stated ‘this is set to be most ambitious event Moray College along with its partners has organised. The days will showcase what’s on offer in the local area which includes a range of subjects from FE level to PHD level. This is a crucial time for many young people making choices as they move into the senior phase of the COE and any assistance we can give to help them make the right choices is so important. We would like to thank our partners and the schools in Moray for their cooperation and support in taking what is set to be a successful 3 days’
